Monday Night Meditation: 7pm to 8pm ~ offered on a donation basis
Currently In Person and Streaming via ZOOM Dharma teacher Joanie Lane leads this traditional insight meditation evening with emphasis on quieting the mind and opening the heart. * Develop a more easeful relationship with life. * Cultivate a calm mind and a kind heart toward ourselves and others. * Live daily in loving awareness. * Explore the practices of sitting meditation and body scans. * Cultivate your skill at navigating life by engaging with present moment awareness. Suitable for beginning meditators, and experienced meditators who wish to deepen their practice. A Positive Light practices inclusivity. All are welcome. The evening consists of two sitting meditations and a talk. Instructions will be given based on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Discourses on the dharma, with time for discussion. Learn to rest into yourself, and open to the awareness of each moment, allowing the moment to unfold naturally. Meditation has been proven to help with stress, chronic pain, illness, anxiety, depression, & more...... Chairs, cushions and zafus provided. Or feel free to bring your own. |
